Chore #2 - Chopping Wood

We took down an old oak. It broke my heart but it was rotting out at the base and if it toppled over in a big storm it would have destroyed the cabin. We were in desperate need of firewood anyways, so it was good timing and put to good use (keeping us warm and helping us cook our food). This little pile was just the start. We brought the tree down with chain saws but then I chopped it all by hand with my trusty axe. When it was all finished we had about a good 1.5-2 cords of wood.
